Racing Bikes

Honda is synonymous with racing. Since the late 1950’s Honda participated in motorcycle racing when it entered the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man in 1959. From 1960 onwards Honda participated in the World Grand Prix Championships, with the RC143 winning Honda’s first GP race in 1961. Honda participated in Endurance races like the Bol d’Or 24-Hours, the LeMans 24-Hours, Suzuka 8-Hours, the World Superbike Series (SBK), the AMA Superbike and Flat Track Racing Championships and several other racing series.

In the beginning, Honda’s racing efforts were run from within the Honda Motor Company. In the 1970’s Honda RSC (Racing Service Center) was established and led the company’s racing programme. In 1982 HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) was founded and became responsible for Honda’s racing development, the manufacture and sales of motorcycles and racing parts.
The third floor of the Collection Hall exhibits Honda’s racing bike legends in all their glory. This is as good as it gets – a dream come true for every motorbike enthusiast.
